➡ HOW LONG IS THE EXAM DURATION OF DGS ?

Exam duration is 150 minutes, ie 2 hours 30 minutes.

➡ WHAT IS ÖBP in DGS ?

For each candidate applying to the DGS, a score called the Associate Degree Success Score (ÖBP) is calculated, taking into account the graduation year and diploma grade. For candidates who are not graduated in the period when the ÖBPs are calculated, GPA is used instead of diploma grade. The grade point averages of the candidates are first converted to the 100 point system. It is then multiplied by 0.8 and the DBP score is obtained.

Associate degree academic grade averages (by evaluating the highest as 100 and the lowest as 50) will be multiplied by 0.8 and converted into Associate Degree Success Score (ÖBP). Thus, the ÖBP value of the lowest grade with 50 will be 40, and the ÖBP value of the highest 100 grade will be 80. Grades below 50 will be considered as 50. The placement score of the candidate will be calculated by adding the Associate Degree Success Score calculated in this way to the score obtained from the central exam. All grading systems will be converted into a 100 point grading system by establishing the correct proportion.

Sample ÖBP Calculation:

Graduation grade 3.80

3.80 x 25 = 95 (Converting a 4 system to a 100 system)

95 x 0.8 = 76 ÖBP

➡  HOW IS THE DGS POINT CALCULATED?

Using the numerical and verbal standard scores and associate degree achievement scores (ÖBP) calculated from the scores obtained by the candidates from the tests, the DGS scores of the candidates will be calculated.

The numerical and verbal standard scores that will form the DGS score and the coefficients determining the weights of the Associate Degree Success Score are given in Table-A. The scores for each candidate will be summed by multiplying the coefficients in the table and the total to be found will form the relevant DGS score of the candidate. Guys, you have a point to pay attention to, which is very important !!! The DGS score of the candidates who get at least 0.5 raw score from both tests will be calculated. The DGS score will not be calculated for the candidates who do not have a raw score of at least 0.5 in both tests . Pay close attention to this. In other words, you have to have at least one verbal and one numeric Net.

➡ WHAT IS THE ACADEMIC GRADE AVERAGE IN DGS ?

In order for the ÖBP to be calculated, the academic grade averages of all senior students (including those who do not apply for the exam) in vocational schools are collected by ÖSYM from the Vocational School student affairs. ÖSYM collects its grade point averages electronically from vocational schools in the second week of July at the latest. Graduated candidates can check their grade point averages on ais.osym.gov.tr website. ÖSYM; accepts correction petitions for academic grade point average on the dates specified.
