Job Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the muscle research laboratory of Dr. Ronald Neppl, located within Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The Neppl laboratory (nepplresearchgroup.org) integrates the use of novel mouse models, molecular genetics, cellular and molecular biology, and whole animal physiology to uncover the cellular and molecular regulation of skeletal muscle growth, differentiation, and regeneration.

The project for the position will build off of a recent iScience publication. We are looking for eager, self-directed scientists with excellent writing skills. Candidates with a strong background in muscle biology, RNA biology, molecular biology techniques, animal handling, and mouse colony management, tissue staining, and microscopy are highly desired. The applicant must be comfortable working with laboratory mice, and a few years’ experiences is preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D. or M.D. with experience in molecular biology and/or cell biology.
