A Postdoctoral position in translational bioinformatics and malignancy immunotherapy is accessible in the Translational Immunoinformatics Laboratory (TIIL) coordinated by Jason Luke, MD, and Riyue Bao, Ph.D., inside the Cancer Immunotherapeutics Center (CIC) of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
Ventures are in the regions of translational bioinformatics and malignancy immunotherapy, specifically, coordinating multi-omics information (genomics, proteomics, metagenomics, metabolomics, and spatial omics gathered from clinical preliminaries or open/interior databases) to cross-examine the connection among compartments of tumor invulnerable microenvironment and designate new remedial focuses for future clinical preliminaries with advancement of novel computational methodologies and factual models.
The work will be executed through multi-disciplinary coordinated efforts at the Hillman Cancer Center and the University of Pittsburgh. This is a great chance to get translational bioinformatics, tumor immunology, and disease immunotherapy preparing in a scholarly lab with solid modern coordinated efforts. Compensation is equivalent with experience and dependent on current NIH rules.

The TIIL is seeking competitive candidates who have recently earned a Ph.D. and/or MD degree and possess excellent programming, analytical, written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience in immunology is highly desirable. Excellent skills in bioinformatics, database mining, and statistical modeling are expected. Experience with spatial analyses of human tissues, multi-omics data integration, and biomedical data is a plus.
