What is Kinder Joy?

Kinder Surprise is a candy manufactured by the Italian company Ferrero since 1974, also known as Kinder Egg or Kinder Surprise Egg. It is one of a couple of candies sold under the Kinder name, produced by Michele Ferrero and William Salice.

A plastic capsule that contains a small toy is surrounded by growing egg chocolate. Children Surprise was originally created with children in mind, replicating the custom of the Italian Easter family, where children have big chocolate eggs with a toy inside.

Children’s Surprise toys are, however, also available to adults. Eggs have been sold worldwide for Children Surprise since 1974.

Some ideas on why kinder Joy is banned?

The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Law of 1938, which is the law most cited for the prohibitions against child eggs, answers the legal question. Since a toy is kept in clothing, children’s eggs have been embargoed since their entry into the United States.

I can guarantee that these eggs are perfectly healthy for a child over the age of three, as someone who gave my children Ferrero children eggs during their stay in Europe.

The capsule containing the toy is too large for a young child to swallow and can almost not be opened easily by adults or even children. However, there are several warnings on the foil packaging that advise parents to discourage children under the age of three from making clothing.

A 1930 FDA law does not permit food to contain non-nutritional items. Do you wonder why the toy is still in a paper wrapper at Cracker Jacks? That’s why it is. This has prevented the importation of Kinder Eggs.

Now children’s eggs are available in a package of 2 halves and the toy and chocolate are kept separate. They can not be sold in shops so because they don’t touch. The original rule probably came from candy or other treats, which was possibly meant for children. Most FDA rules come after the bad results have been enough to trigger a scream.

As already written, US legislation does not permit a “non-food” object to be placed in food, but only in the absence of the outside visibility.

However, there is a similar product available that copies Children Surprise eggs, but avoids US regulation: between the two chocolate halves, the surprise capsule is visible in part.

To order to achieve health, let us continue to consider banning hot dogs, salted peanuts and other foodstuffs (many of which are made by humans) causing the death of hundreds of humans worldwide.

At the other hand, Wikipedia claimed that the Kinder Egg caused three deaths over 40 years, a relatively low risk of injury, considering the millions of children’s eggs sold worldwide.
